Post subject: Airplane pilots VS Heli pilots (A good story)
Quote
I have been thinking of joining a club lately, and when I inquired about the numbers, a total member count of 122, if any of the members were heli pilots (seeing the pics on their blog there were no helis..) to which I was told- yes, we have a few- I think 3 or 4.

He reminded me of an obvious fact that most would either chuckle in agreement with or balk in disgust- revealing whether you are the heli pilot or airplane pilot-
Helis are more difficult to fly than airplanes..that's why I went for them instead of planes when entering the hobby (plus, getting a plane to do inverted piro funnels is, atm, impossible..) I enjoy the challenge- hovering, inverted hover, tick tocks, I can't wait.. Laughing

AND THE STORY Arrow

A fellow that served some Army time overseas in the 70s told me about these two pals, one was a heli pilot, the other an airplane pilot.
The Airplane pilot was in Cambodia or somewhereanother and the Heli pilot was in China somewhere.. routinely the airplane pilot would fly to the base that his friend was stationed at to resupply, and on one occasion the heli pilot asked if he could fly the plane, to which the airplane pilot obliged, and he flew it.
NOW, later, the heli pilot had to make a trip to the other base where the airplane pilot was stationed, and while there the airplane pilot says to him 'hey, let me fly your helicopter' to which the helicopter pilot replied simply..
"No." Cool

I had to spread this one around, it is just too good..
