Hi,
I am new at 6channel and i wanted to buy one to learn how to fly it, basic moviments and maybe later 3d Flight. Iīve been looking for reviews, best heli, whatever that helps me picking The ONE!
Every brand says they have the best one, the best for 3d, for learning, etc etc
At this time i am completely Lost Razz
I wanted some help and if you could help me with this, it would be Great Wink

Blue Ray 450PE
Falcon 400 SE 3D
KDS 450SV 3D
Typhoon

This are the ones that iīve been looking for, maybe there are others and you could simply add yor opinion here. I donīt know wich one is the best, one is 2,4Ghgz the other is full alloy and carbons, other are 2008 models...I donīt really know what matters in what to have a good hely, Servos, engine, Mhz, etc
If someone could give opinion and advice i would be very happy!
Thank you guys

1. Always buy the best helicopter you can afford to crash
2. Can you get spares easily for any of the Helis you have mentioned
3. What type of flying do you intend to do
4. Is this Heli a trainer and will you be getting a larger one in the future.

I've just received a MSH Protos 500 Helicopter. Very good flyer, well designed, but not one of the best sellers - compared to say Align helis.

Already I am waiting for some parts to be delivered. With my Trex 500, I know I can get next day parts from several places.

Everyone crashes, so the availability of spares is (IMO) the most important thing when considering what heli to buy - especially if it is you only heli.

If you are learning, you might want to get something cheap - Esky Belt-CP... cheap to buy, plentiful spares and upgrades. If you can afford to crash and have the money, then a Mini Titan SE is (imo) the best of the 450 size helis.

Some people say buy a quality helicopter, then you won't spend money on upgrades. This hobby is addictive, so upgrades you WILL buy.

Without seeming too 'down', a lot of people spend big bucks on their first heli, only to give up after several crashes. The honest truth.... it isn't for everyone.

My advice would be buy cheap, then when the bug bites, buy bigger and better.

Good luck

Hi
I've just had a look at the models you've chosen, the Falcon and Typhoon are virtually the same heli, the Blue Ray is very similar to a Trex 450 in looks, dunno about build quality and the KDS is a new one to me!!

Chances are they will all be ok, though they might be a bit twitchy for a complete beginner, and as C5 says, spares should be the first thing you look for before you buy any heli.

I agree with most of what C5 has already said, apart from buy cheap....if you want a decent stable heli, then you might be better off going for a mid range sort of price, perhaps something like the Belt CP might be a better option. The way I look at it is if the bug bites then great go ahead and "bling" up the belt or go for something better, but if the bug doesn't bite, with a mid range heli you stand a better chance of making back some of your money when you sell it!

Good luck with whatever you choose to get, I'm sure you'll be bitten like the rest of us, also make sure you get some help with setting up your heli, most of the RTF packages really don't fly straight out of the box!
