Another day without access to the forum and I’m getting withdrawal symptoms. No-one seems to be able to get me back on there…..
I’ve been hovering with the sim, and I’m not sure whether I’ve discovered how to stop the heli going round as it’s hovering…..that’s by slightly moving the left stick. It’s probably wrong, but I can’t ask anyone.
 If anyone reads this, can they please ask the admin to try to get the Old Bird back on the site…….last thing I did was to post a couple of pics of my van on the Wheels thread….then poof I’ve gone…… I log in, and my name appears on the list at the bottom of the page, but I’m not there, and the log in isn’t beoing activated….I can’t see new posts or post myself. Anything I try to look at and I get the log in page. I’ve tried mailing Earlgrey but the mails are being returned…..and I mailed Joel yesterday but have so far not heard anything.
 For an old one who is getting a bit bored out in the cold, please let me back on……
It’s a few days now since I ordered my heli, and I suspect I still have quite a wait. Which is just as well, cos I can’t get onto the Heliguy forum to get any advice, or to get excitable with anyone when the postman delivers it…….
 The forum looks like I’m there, cos I’ve logged on….but I’m not, cos it won’t let me log on……and I’m dying to read the new posts etc…..
The sim work is going well. I can bunny hop and walk the heli from one end of the runway to the other, turning round to come back.  That must be at about a metre off the floor. One thing I do find useful is the cardboard tree near the runway….I line the hovering heli up to that and it acts as a marker to let me gauge how I’m hovering…..
 Must go now, cos the other half wants to get onto the sim for a bit…..

Friday the 12th January was the day that I completly lost it…….and spent out on a Honeybee FP E004 heli. Not that I can fly one, but I caught the bug from Glyn and his brother, who have both just bought a Graupner….one has a Kaola and the other has a 135.
As the Midlands Area Rep and Vice Chair for the Estima Owners Club , one would think that I have enough to do really, but no. Â So now here I sit, glued to either the Heliguys forum, or to the simulator.
The simulator is quite another story….talk about daft. My daftness sometimes knows no bounds…….
I set the sim up, thinking it might be better for me to do it than Glyn….cos he’s a stranger to instruction manuals…….and I set the thing up without changing the model. So there we were last night, trying to fly a heli with the joystick going sideways…… :-) Anyway, set it up again by choosing the model first, and it calibrated it’s self for the heli….and joy oh joy it works……
Just got to wait for the heli to arrive now…..could be a couple of weeks yet cos it’s coming from Hong Kong.
