All is quiet, all is not calm
Well, not much has been going on for quite a while now
First of all I had a very minor crash … the heli just tilted over a bit and the rotor blades touched the ground. There was minimal damage to the blades but the main shaft was severly bent and the main gear was stripped!!!
Rather than replacing the damaged parts with more weak originals, I decided to look for upgrades. I used a Trex 450 Align main shaft.
I replaced the main gear with a Blade 400 main gear (EFLH1452 includes bearing). It was a perfect fit and feels to be much stronger than the esky one.
The HeliGuy forum has a long post dedicated to replacement parts for the Belt CP here.
I also have a set of Align 315 blades to try, once my flying is back to where it was … or better. For now though, I will continue to use / trash the standard eSky ones.
All these changes and fixes are all very well, but the weather here has been completely rubbish for so long now! I can’t remember the last calm dry day! If there has been one, I’ve been elsewhere doing something else
Hopefully, it’ll all calm down soon and I’ll be able to get out and fly again soon
