Heliguy recently introduced a new image display and Youtube video loader.

This gives the user the ability to cycle through images and then load them into the central area, from there the user can then choose to enlarge the image for a more detailed look at the products.

Secondly there is a video loader that can currently hold up to 20 videos that we can then directly load from youtube ensuring you get the video loaded as quick as possible.

For an example of this please see here… *** TEMP OFF LINE***

HoneyBee king 2 is in stock, there are 2 colours of the HoneyBee King 2 - white and yellow. White is the first to arrive - yellow should be a long shortly.Â

We have had our first play…

First impressions were it looked similar to the King V1 but on closer inspection there are quite a few welcome differences.

1. Canopy - thicker plastic and easier to attach - in fact no bother at all. This will reduce damage a great deal. Our canopy sales will plummit!

2. Airframe is more robust plastic, simpler and well thought out. There is a battery compartment to protect the battery in a crash. This battery compartment will carry our 2200 mAh 10C and 12C  batteries but I advise a brushless motor upgrade for these battery types. The heli will get off the ground but the extra weight will counteract the extra flight time.

3. We are back to the older style gyro on these ones -not sure why? Maybe because the newer type gyro needs to be positioned in an ‘exact position’ which is not very convenient on the King airframe.

4. King 2 skids are much more robust and will take much harder impact than before.

5. King 2 in a hover (make sure your gyro is flat) is very nice - these micro electrics are really improving now. I would say the new airframe has brought greater balance to the hover than the old version.

Thanks for your time :)Â

A few common problems when people contacting us by email….

1. Send to the correct address” joel’at’heliguy.com”, “chris’at’heliguy.com” or “earlgrey’at’heliguy.com. “sales’at’heliguy.com” does not get looked at - we use it to record sales confirmations only. I have replaced @ with ‘at’ above for robot spam reasons.

2. Don’t look like spam! A customer contacting me recently after replying to my news letter telling me I had ignored his email. I searched on the email he gave and he had indeed contacted me - most were unread in the junk folder - put there manually by myself. He had no subject heading on any of his contacts and his name came up as ‘Almighty dread’ - I didn’t even register this as genuine heli contact. CAPITALS in the subject heading are good - even better if they have some words relating to helicopters.

3. Send to the right category of person, for example people ordering through paypal who who need their delivery address changed (because they haven’t updated after a house move) send to chris directly(he is the one printing your lablels) . Give a subject heading like ‘URGENT ADDRESS CHANGE’ because we ship out very quickly. If it is a very high value order we will not allow address changes. Unless we know you through the forum or are a regular.

4. I will never ignore you intentionally that’s a promise! Adhere to the above rules and if you don’t get an answer send a group message - please do this as a last resort. Earlgrey (Joe) , Chris and I are in constant contact.

* Chris and I don’t answer on weekends or after 6pm. Need immediate support help…

TRY this…

Click this search button (or at the top of this screen) and type in your problem as best you can (not trying to patronise here).

£13.99

The kit includes all the motors and ESC and 20C high powered Align battery for 3D flight.

I am throwing in an extra set of main blades giving in total….

325 PRO Rotor Blades x2
315 Carbon Rotor Blades x1

..included in the set.

I am also throwing in helicopter pitch gauge for your friend.

I am also throwing in a Trex training kit for free - this fits to the bottom of the helicopter to prevent topple when learning to fly.

Now where this deal differs from the other helicopter deal is it has 4 * HS56HB Karbonite gears - this are very popular helicopter servos and about 5-6 times the price of the servos that would have come with the assembled helicopter deals you saw on the site.

This gives a total price of £684.08 + £18.50 special delivery.

Total £702.58 - lets call it £699.95 as this looks nicer!

If you wanted the Canopy in any of these choices…..

http://www.heliguy.com/Extras/Canopy-mods/Introduction/

£28 inc VAT (normally £40) should be added on- I make hardly anything on this but I use it as an incentive for the helicopter deals. *These canopies are something else - you have to see them in the skin to realise - Hawk Beat and Cano Dragon are good ones.

*Summary you have got everything needed to get in the air, points to note….

You have the Futaba 401 gyro £110.00 RRP, HS56HB servos *4 (better than nylon servos), top of the range TX with charger (to be used on other helis in the future), SE kit (fully upgraded), high capacity 20C discharge lipo with cell balancer lead, very powerful brushless motor and ESC (governor mode), a few freebies including pitch gage, extra blades and training kit for the trex and all the other extra not mentioned.

Think this is expensive? Think again! 4 years ago I paid £310.00 for 4 channel RTF plastic rc helicopter with no extras.

Want to reduce this cost but not compromise on quality?

Ditch the SE and go for the S (CF). Want a deal? - Email me

Mini Pred (£199.99) from Art-tech- this is the Falcon 3D (£179.99) from Art-tech with the red canopy. Make up your mind about the canopy. I prefer the red one my self.

Test flew this today just a hover around the shop -load of power and very stable. Power from the brushless motor was very good (but got very hot due to it being an in-runner brushless motor - heat sinks are fitted and solved the heat dissipation problem). Gyro easy to adjust and produced the stable hover. Blades long and the helicopter is well weighted with a good centre of gravity, battery provided holds in very well -but not much room for a range of different sized batteries- we will experiment with this later.

Battery that is used has a deans connector and it is a pain to connect and reconnect this, initially requires a lot of force (but this will ease). Initially use a pair of pliers to avoid pulling any wires out.
Transmitter very basic (but don’t expect a LCD display on a RTF at this price) but nice and small - I have small hands so found it comfortable. Each switch and pitch knob is marked with a english note which conveys to me they have though about the end user. This makes it nice and clear for the beginners.

*Please note this was a 15 min play, we will see how it stands up to long term torment and destruction after a couple of months.

Other items in the box -training kit, flight sim and cable (not tried), english helicopter manual and manual for the flight sim - not read but looked quite comprehensive from quick flick.

Target Market - Beginner wanting a crack at a 3D capable heli with no build work and the extras. Serious flier who wants an additional practice helicopter for the house or garden (assuming large rooms).

*updated 08/04/2007

This helicopter will carry batteries up to 2200 mAh - go for the 10C battery because the 12C battery is a touch to long.

We have a range of blades that we will be adding to the Falcon section. Including some wood ones a touch longer than the stock blades giving even more stability to the helicopter than it already has - it will fly like a lama v3 with these blades on!Â
