The HoneyBee King My Review.
In December 2006 i decided to invest in an electric Micro style Helicopter, There are lots to choose from but i decided after some investigation to opt for the E-Sky HoneyBee King.

Out of the Box i found this to be exciting However i had not flown for nearly 6 years and the thought of starting her up and hovering was a little scary.
I installed the trainer onto the skids which was supplied by Heliguy free of charge, The setup came with Wooden blades , charger for a Li-poly battery, Li-Poly 1000mah and also Heliguy had provided a UK Plug for the charger.
I found the King Very Pleasing but had i bitten of more than i could chew with a full 3D CP helicopter the awnser to that no, With all things i went through a huge learning curve, Small hops to start plus getting the tail correct.
I found exceptional help in the forums as well as learning i placed my findings on general information and configuration in there, I found myself after a matter of weeks getting the King at least Head height, She was stable and i found her easy to control.
Figure of eights started to get easier as the weeks passed, I cant say i was perfect and like everyone i make mistakes turn left instead of right but parts for the King are quite cheap and very easy to repair.
The setup was basic but was easy to understand, it has a basic 6 channel radio, Pre programmed with Normal mode for trainer status but with IDLE Up for more advanced 3D everything was setup and seemed to work straight out of the box.
The King itself being basic with 4 standard Servo’s and a Standard Peizo Gyro very easy to configure but not forgetting this would move like a weather vain and orient itself into wind, saying this i found the King easy to control and within no time was out in the park doing circiuts.
The King was exceptional with upgrades with CNC head and Carbon blades also a brushless motor and ESC available.

I would recommend if installing the E-Sky upgrade motor to use a 13t Pinion as the head speed had dropped and was solved by increasing the pinion.
Heliguy had complete upgrades for sale and made it even easier as discounted package was also available, The Forum contained details on how to upgrade the head and i found the King was far more stable, As with everything you find your own way, Since purchasing the King i have made alot of upgrades with Extreme Skids and Canopies but at the end of the day i enjoy the King its fun and exciting well worth the money and even a beginner can take this on and after weeks hover.
If you decide to invest in a Honeybee King you’ve made a good choice, Read the forums much of us there have had issue and configuration problems but as a team of individuals have ironed out these and made the King the King of Micro Heli’s.
This Helicopter is fun but dont under estimate her she has a bite and thats what makes the king an exciting first adventure into Electic Helicopters.
This is my own opinion and findings i have Discovered alot with the King But Heliguy has been there to provide parts when she went in and believe me i did a few times.
