My Fleet
Since I am now addicted to this new hobby of mine, I don’t see an end to it. I am not too keen on engine powered helis, but you never know. I now have a new baby boy, well he isn’t so new at a ripe old age of 6 months!
This new collection will all be his someday when he is old enough to put one together by himself. I am sure that he will want his own collection by then.
When he gets to the age where he can fly a PiccoZ and it’s time to move onto the FP’s, I should be able to fly these things with as much ease as the many folks who can do 3D acrobatics. Shouldn’t I?
Here goes….
The first of the helis….well, if you could call it that, a PiccoZ.
Then the first real introduction into the world of heli movements, the Honey Bee Fixed Pitch.
The HB FP was too much for me to handle, so I climbed back down the ladder and  got myself a Lama 3. This is also a fixed pitch but much more indoor friendly. This heli was gentle enough for me to learn the 4 channels movements. It was back to the HB FP after that. Much better. The controls seemed to have changed cause I can now handle the HB.
After about a month on the HB, the next move up was to the GL 450. Man, is this thing twitchy. It seems very angry and wants to zip about like a bee on a mission. Made me think twice before I flew it like the HB. But I love it. It is so powerful and demands respect from a person of my level.
Well…. an update will follow here as I plan to add to my fleet a TRex 600. Maybe a Falcon 3D after that. Wait… the Hirobo looks good, too! The list seems never ending….
Very cool fleet. I have seen this GL450 in China - do you like, I couldn’t quite tell from your description?
Cheers
Joel

Yes. Sorry about that I will update that comment about the GL. I do love it. But I have a fear of it still and give it lots of respect.
I met a guy at the hobby shop where I go and he flies a TRex 450. He is very good, so I let him take mine up for a spin.
He was awestruck at the power that it had and said that it flew as good as, if not better than his TRex. I think he bought one about a week after I did.
It’s a beautiful machine and I really don’t want to crash the thing, so I want to take very small steps in flying it around.
Peace-
