Motor Mount - as you can see from the pictures below I flipped the motor mounting plate over rather than fit it as shown in the instructions. This changed the orientation of the motor and aligned the cables so they pointed striaght forward towards the battery tray. This makes the wiring to the ESC much neater and makes no difference to the motor mount, you can still loosen the bolt and swing the motor in and out to set the gear mesh.

To keep the servo cables tidy I use expandable polyester braid which comes in a variety of sizes from RS Components and a 5m length will only cost about £5 to £6. Don’t buy it from the model shops as they tend to sell it for about £5 per metre! The braid can be pushed together to expand it and allow the servo plugs to be pushed through then it can be pulled to close it over the cables. I use a piece of heat shrink tubing either end to stop the ends of the braid fraying. Neat, lightwight and effective.
