TT Mini Titan E325
For Christmas this year Santa was very good to me and brought me a Mini Titan E325 Kit! I had been thinking of getting a small electric Heli for some time and decided to get the Mini Titan rather than the T-Rex 450 as it was cheaper and from what I had heard it was more stable yet just as aerobatic.
The clincher for me was when the guys at Phoenix RC released an update which contained the Mini Titan. This let me compare the T-Rex and the Mini Titan on the simulator. I much preffered flying the mini Titan as it was nice and stable in the hover and when flying nice wide circuits but was still agile and reactive when doing some basic 3D flips and rolls.
As this was to be my second helicopter (I have a Raptor 30 V2 as well) I did not want to spend too much money on the Mini Titan intially but rather put in fairly basic equipment and upgrade it later if needed. I chose Hitec HS-55 for the 3 cylic servos and a HS-82MG for the tail as these seemed to be basic servos but good enough for what I needed. These are not quite a perfect fit into the Mini Titan and the elevator servo will require some spacers to make it fit which you can see in the photos. I also chose a CSM 420e Gyro as I have a CSM 720 gyro in my Raptor 30 which has proved to be a truly excellent gyro which gives amazing tail control. I decided to go for a 2200mAh Li-po battery and found the Dualsky 3S1P Xpower 25C were about the best value and so far have had excellent performance from these cells.
I spent a couple of days over the Xmas holidays building up the Mini Titan, the instructions are very clear and the kit goes together very easily. The only thing i found is that some of the parts are quite small and if you have big fingers (like me) you might find things a bit fiddly. The Mini Titan is almost all plastic (similar to the Raptor range) but the parts are very well made and fit together perfectly.
