Since December 31, 2020, pilots operating the Phantom 4 RTK have two training options. You can either obtain an A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) to fly under the Open Category’s A2 Transitional subcategory, which requires maintaining a 50m distance from uninvolved people. Or, you can complete a General VLOS Certificate (GVC) course to apply for an Operational Authorisation in the Specific Category, suitable for most enterprise pilots.
