DJI Dock 2 Supports Multi-dock Operations

Explore how DJI Dock 2’s multi-dock functionality streamlines inspections, security monitoring, and remote missions.

  • DJI Dock 2 now has muti-dock functionality - allowing the drone to fly from dock to dock;

  • This benefits a range of missions, including operations covering extensive areas.

  • Other updates include 4G private deployment and added logic to trigger RTH if the dock network connection fails during flight.

DJI Dock 2 now supports multi-dock tasks, enabling a DJI M3D/M3TD drone to take off from one dock and land in another dock.

This feature enables flight tasks in large areas with long distances.

To support this type of multi-dock functionality, the DJI Dock 2 is available to buy as a single unit, without a drone.

This exciting new feature came as part of a recent firmware update. It also brought:

  • Added support for embedding subtitles in videos captured by the aircraft.

  • Downloading and playing the video files with embedded subtitles to your local PC are also supported.

  • Added the logic to trigger RTH if the dock network connection fails during flight.

  • Optimised vision detection logic for propellers to perform the detection process after the aircraft lands.

  • 4G private deployment supports the configuration of different IP addresses for the aircraft and the dock.

Alongside this, DJI FlightHub 2 also received a firmware update, bringing a suite of optimised flight route functions. You can read more about it, here.

These updates were followed by another firmware push on July 30, bringing a more optimised battery charging logic.

To enjoy these most recent features, ensure you are operating on the most up-to-date firmware:

  • Dock Firmware: v 10.01.1607

  • Aircraft Firmware: v 10.01.1607

  • Intelligent Flight Battery: v 26.03.00.48

  • Remote Controller Firmware: v 02.01.0507

  • DJI Pilot 2 App: v 10.1.0.30

  • DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series): v 2.1.12
