How safe is the DJI Flip?

Something as an alternative to the DJI Neo, the Flip is DJI’s first drone to feature a foldable full-coverage propellor guard.

Arguably the DJI Flip’s most unique feature, it fully encases the propellers making it safer to fly around people.

Yet it achieves this without weighing the drone down.

The guard’s carbon fiber support structure is just 1/60th the weight of traditional PC material whilst maintaining the same stiffness.

That thorough protection makes the DJI Flip safe even for beginner pilots to fly confidently, while 3D ToF sensors enable automatic braking, even at night.

Who can fly the DJI Flip?

And it isn’t just the DJI Flip’s safety initiatives that makes it accessible.

Weighing under 249g, it is light enough to avoid regulation (In the UK for instance, any drone exceeding 250g must be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority).

How good is the DJI Flip’s camera?

The DJI Flip’s state-of-the-art camera shoots HDR 4K video at 60fps, while slow motion is shot at 100fps. In a nutshell, this means what you shoot will look real-to-life and pick up many of the nuanced details technically-weaker cameras simply can’t capture.

Additionally, the DJI flip can capture photos with 4x zoom while the camera also has 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor featuring Dual Native ISO Function, a  f/1.7 aperture and 2.μm 4-in-1 pixels - while the SmartPhoto feature produces pictures that pop by merging HDR imaging, scene recognition and more.

Is the DJI Flip portable and is it easy to use?
