Gas Detection Drones

Enhanced situational awareness

Drones A Game-changer For Gas Detection

Drones equipped with gas detection sensors revolutionise inspection and monitoring.

They offer a safer, more efficient, and cost-effective alternative to traditional methods.

By swiftly detecting leaks, measuring air quality, and accessing hard-to-reach areas, drones enhance safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide invaluable data for environmental and industrial applications.

Benefits Of Drone Gas Detection

  • Assess the scene from a safe distance before risking the safety of your team.

  • Quickly locate and identify the source, concentration and flow of chemical hazards.

  • Access hard-to-reach locations.

  • Gather real-time situational awareness to form a comprehensive action plan and define a safety perimeter.

  • Use thermal and/or visual sensors alongside the gas detection module to further enhance on-scene intelligence.

  • Collect accurate data and build maps and models to improve decision-making and better coordinate multi-agency response.

  • Repeatable data collection for asset monitoring.

Drone Gas Detection: Use-cases

  • Industrial Facility Monitoring: Detecting gas leaks and emissions at refineries, chemical plants, and factories.

  • Pipeline Inspection: Identifying leak points along extensive pipeline networks.

  • Environmental Monitoring: Measuring air quality and pollutant levels in urban and rural areas.

  • Volcanic Monitoring: Acquiring near-vent measurements of gases such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide.

  • Construction Sites: Locating potential pollution sources and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Mining: Detecting gas leaks and monitoring air quality in and around mines.

  • Public Safety/HazMat Response: Drones provide rapid, safe assessment of hazardous materials, reducing responder exposure and enabling informed decision-making.

  • Disaster Response: Providing rapid assessment of gas leaks and air quality in emergency situations.

  • Waste Management: Monitoring landfill sites for hazardous gas emissions and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Ports and Harbours: Monitoring for hazardous gas emissions and air quality.

Automated Drone Gas Detection

Pair a gas detection module with a drone in a box to benefit from automated, remote, and real-time data collection.

The DJI M3D and M3TD for DJI Dock 2 integrate with the Soarability Sniffer4D Nano 2 gas detection system or TDLAS Methane Detection, while the M30 Series (Dock edition) for the original DJI Dock can be deployed with the Soarability Sniffer4D Mini2.

Use with the Sniffer4D mapper software to obtain 2D/3D pollution distribution and PDF mission reports for data-driven decision-making.

The drone in a box is located on-site and ready to deploy on-demand, either for scheduled monitoring or emergency call-outs.

This is particularly suited to industrial sites, oil and gas pipelines, landfill inspections, and offshore environments.
