Read the announcement for the Osmo+ 'Zoom'
Already in possession of an Osmo featuring the DJI Zenmuse X3? No problem, you’re able to add or remove modules and upgraded sensors to suit the way you film. Essentially DJI is giving filmmakers the power to customise their own tailor-made videography solutions using a variety of peripherals and, thanks to the recent addition of the Zenmuse X5 and Zenmuse X5R, a range of lenses. Note: If you're looking attach either the X5 or X5R to your existing Osmo, you will need to purchase the DJI Osmo X5 Adaptor. Now that we have these combos in stock (with the adaptor included), let’s take a look at each of the new and improved iterations of the Osmo.
DJI Osmo Pro
The Zenmuse X5
The DJI Zenmuse X5 contains a powerful MFT sensor that guarantees a superior level of quality when compared to the Osmo’s previous companion, the X3. Enabling crisp, high sensitivity image recording at an ISO range of 100-25600, the X5 has proved to be an exceptional addition to the industry leading, stabilised handheld gimbal that is the Osmo. Featuring an impressive 12.8 stops of dynamic range, the highlights and shadows in your footage and images are displayed in exceptional clarity. Precisely manufactured with high-grade aluminium and magnesium alloys, the X5 has been designed to withstand frequent use on the go. Compact and lightweight to allow easy transportation, the Zenmuse X5 is built to last. Although it is compact, the X5 is an undeniably powerful video camera able to record 4K at 30fps, 2.7K at up to 30fps, and 'Full HD' at 60fps (when shooting in the .mp4 or .mov formats). A high-speed signal readout limits the Zenmuse X5’s rolling shutter effect when shooting, which results in stunning footage even when moving your Osmo rig around at high speeds. You will also benefit from a range of convenient features such as Zebra Pattern and Focus Peaking which make the X5 a camera that’s fit for any job you can think of. If you’re crazy about high-quality video and stills but not overly concerned with shooting in the RAW format (see the Osmo RAW bundle ft. X5R), the Osmo Pro bundle with the Zenmuse X5 should be right up your street.

DJI Osmo RAW
The Zenmuse X5R
With the Zenmuse X5R, DJI has seen huge success with its use as an aerial camera, predominantly for the Inspire 1 RAW. Designed for those who care deeply about capturing superior quality footage, it is capable of recording 4K videos in the RAW format at up to 30fps. With this in mind, the X5R captures all of its video content while retaining the original data, offering total control of the post-production process as every single frame can be edited after the fact as a RAW file. As displayed in the image above you’re also able to add the DJI Focus to your Osmo RAW set-up, allowing for precise shot control on the fly. Boasting a max bitrate of 2.4Gbps, the crystal clear 4K videos recorded by the Zenmuse X5R make them perfect for professional use, although there’s nothing to stop amateurs from simply filming your holiday or a memorable family event. The combined quality of the sensor and ease-of-use offered by the Osmo really makes the RAW bundle stand out. It’s not all about capturing moving images, however, as with its large MFT sensor, the X5R is able to produce print-quality 16-magapixel stills. With its high and sensitivity image capture, the DJI Zenmuse X5R is able to take photographs in both standard JPEG and RAW quality that will please even the most discerning eye.
