
DJI OM4: Creating A Timelapse
Quickly learn how to use the new OM4 Timelapse feature and begin creating stunning content.
Meet DJI OM4, a smartphone stabiliser designed to elevate your content creation. When paired with the DJI Mimo App, it unlocks a range of creative features, including Timelapse mode.
Timelapse mode lets you capture smooth, time-warped footage, making it ideal for showcasing motion over time. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you set up, customise, and perfect your timelapse shots effortlessly.
Instructions
Switch to 'Timelapse' Mode:
Open the DJI Mimo App and connect it to your DJI OM4.
On the main screen, swipe through the shooting modes and select 'Timelapse'.
Access 'Timelapse Settings':
Tap on the settings icon to open the Timelapse options.
Configure Your 'Timelapse Settings':
Set the interval (time between shots) and duration (total recording time) according to your creative vision.
Define Your 'Path' (for Motionlapse):
If you wish to add movement to your timelapse, select 'Motionlapse'.
Set up to four keyframes by adjusting the gimbal's position to create a dynamic path.
Confirm the Path:
After setting your keyframes, confirm the path to finalise the motion trajectory.
Start Recording:
Press the 'Shutter Release' button to begin capturing your timelapse.
Finalise Your Timelapse:
Once the recording is complete, your timelapse will be automatically compiled and saved.
