DJI have redesigned the Phantom to produce the Phantom 3! phantom3.png DJI Phantom 3 Professional The DJI Phantom 3 has got a 4k camera, which also has down facing capabilities. Lightbridge is integrated. More satellites for greater accuracy in remote locations too and includes optical sensors just like the DJI Inspire 1. All 4 motors are independent of each other for streamline piloting. Boosts an upgraded GPS system on board which provides pin-point location accuracy, knowing exactly where it is; even if you do not. Making flying effortless. Same transmitter as the DJI Inspire 1, making is accessible with ergonmic grips so you can record and play back video, control gimbal and adjust exposure. Comes in Phantom 3 Professional with the 4k camera (£1,159, $1,259) and Phantom Advanced with just 1080p (£899, $999). phantom3-price.png
The Phantom 3 comes with a new integrated vision positioning system, using a trio of small sensors the Phantom accurately tracks the ground beneath it. Making it able to fly and hover low to the ground and even be used indoors. The visuals created by the Professional version are made via the ultra high definition 4K camera which records crystal clear beautiful video as well as 12 megapixel still photos. The 3-axis gimbal is amazing as ever. The Advanced version comes with everything the Professional does but with a 1080p 60 frames per second camera that is also capable of shooting 12 megapixel stills.
DJI Director
DJI have also announced its video editing app DJI Director, which also includes an offline flight simulator and flight logs. Putting the power of creating amazing footage into your hands, the app has been designed for a more casual experience. The Phantom 3 can now take off and land with using a press of a button. All of this complements the apps new live HD view powered by lightbridge. The Phantom's camera feed is transmitted to your tablet at great distances at 720p real-time stream. Director is a new video editor that makes the process of assembling a stunning video montage a breeze. It auto edits your favourite scenes from a recent flight and adds the perfect music too.
